Independence.

State of independence. Blue and gray highway. I can’t control my brain.
I’m a victim under the impact of these words.
All the weight of the years has got them bursting
into tears. What is that
in your hand? I have come to destroy
this land. It’s all right,
At least you aren’t alone.
We will make them follow orders. We did what we could do.
People look for themselves
inside of mirrors. Public appearances. Robots.
Can you handle this? She’s sitting on some one else’s lap,
smiling.
This old road is too dead for dreaming. Individualism is a theory.
All is obscene except the obscene. Let us sing a song of money and women
it will be a hit by tomorrow.
“If only they knew how empty I feel,”
says the king of the world.
The colors blend together
if you take a few steps back. I spent eternity,
setting myself on fire for you. I am gaining faith
in personal power. Gangsters brag about shooting each other?
We have crumbled to pieces.
A million gains of sand under one foot. I am one. One.
She is reaching through the tall grass,
looking for the cool wind.
