I stand alone.
With my face towards the world,
I watch.
I wish that things
Weren't so hard.
I know though,
There is nothing I can do to change it.
I am powerless over the inner workings
in an over complicated world.
I take what I am given,
and run so no one can take it away.
I cherish it,
Value every aspect of it.
The good is a gift,
and all too many times
I have watched it perish.
Perish right in front of my face.
So yes,
The bad things are every where.
That may be true.
Yet I can not walk around with my back towards the world.
Why?
Because that is how the good things slip right by.
