Optimism

The sun will shine tomorrow,
god forbid the skies be cloudy.
The most distinct feeling in me is sorrow,
yet acceptance is within.
My patience wears thin,
but I will wait.
I will wait for fate,
and destiny to join,
and hopefully the two will point
me into the right direction.
Hopefully, my affection
does not wear away,
for it is all I have left for you.
Hopefully you think so too.
