"Why can't you be like everyone else?"
Because I chose to stop and admire the view.
Or should I say a new?

A distant skyline, racing to the sea
Those powerful words like an anchor to me.
Keeping me here, instead of there, in the race.

The two had stopped, glanced back with haste.
The time was now. I had to try.
I broke the chain that kept me there with no lie.

I became true to myself and began to paddle.
On this endless journey towards land.
Perhaps I'll reach it when I'm an old man.

Non-conformity, pretty straight forward. Sky lines and seas meet only when you can see yourself in the reflection.

This is cool, slightly confusing, but i love the idea and i can totally understand and connect to it. Great job!
