A girl like me?
You only know what you see
Constantly everyday I’m trying to fit into society
Because never would it accept a girl like me.
With its different perspectives on what’s real beauty.
No one can reach the standards
I’m stressed everyday I’m mad and I don’t know why
But that’s just a girl like me
Never do people judge by personality
But only your outside of what they see
Everyone’s so warped in this fake reality
Sometimes I feel like I’m living a dream
And then I’m confused because I say words and I don’t know what they mean
I’m trying to impress people that really don’t matter.
I’m trying to be successful I’m on a never ending ladder
Everyone’s sitting around talking about the next
But you really don’t have any room if you have your own mess
Ughh society getting lame
Everybody walkin talkin and dressin the same
People should just learn to be free unique
But that’s just my perspective on things
A girl like ME

This poem is one a lot of girls can identify with. It shows that our young people are going through. This writing was so truthful and honest.
