So there he stands
Men dawned dead
So there he stands
Blood runs red
So there he stands
Eyes clinched in fear
So there he stands
Not shedding a tear
So there he stands
Drenched in shame
So there he stands
Who's to blame?

So there you stand
Hands on your head
So there you stand
Not wanting to dread
So there you stand
Thinking about your dears
So there you stand
Falling in tears
So there you stand
Nothing's the same
So there you stand
Who's to blame?

The author's comments:
It's about war if you think about it really hard. The first part, the image I had when I wrote it was a soldier surrounded by the dead bodies of his fallen men, and the second part, I just wrote it abruptly because I wanted it to be longer and make people think harder. My brother just graduates from the U.S Marine boot camp next week, so when i wrote this, I put alot of emotion into it because to see my brother go out into the harsh world of war.
