The Game
All the children gather
at the meadow in the park,
they stand at attention--
waiting for orders from the leader.
The boy of nine says to the
others; We are about to play
football. Divide Up. Everyone follows
his orders, but the leader does not like
the teams. So he rearranges them
to his liking. The boys begin to play,
but the girls show up, and the
boys stop to scare them.
But the girls would not leave;
they were persistent in playing.
The boys were losing the battle.
The girls began to join a team,
so the boys stopped the game.
The girls were angry, and so were the boys,
but as the leader said, It is better not to play,
than to play with girls.
