"I have made a ceaseless effort not to ridicule, not to bewail, not to scorn human actions, but to understand them." --Benedict Spinoza

It was the most amazing supernova
It was when our hearts collided
A brilliant luminosity that lit up the galaxy
It brought forth such colors, such light
The brilliance of that moment forever marked in the sky
The Stars had never seen such radiance
The Moon had never seen such splendor
We dazzled the Night with our incandescence and grace
We hypnotized the Planets and they looked on us with awe
Fluorescent love sparkled in the evening
Splendid infatuation reflected across infinity

Just as soon the luster waned
The Stars wept bitterly as the light began to fade
A black hole was left that used to be my heart
It hurts to remember, but I can't bear to forget
The way we swayed to the rhythm of the Aurora Borealis
Our love illuminated the Northern Sky
No, I'll not forget you and I'll never try
I'll not forget you and I'll never try.

I actually wrote this one in two different sections. The first section obviously about love and beauty. The second part was written later, when that love and beauty died. I know that sounds like a depressing thought, but it's life.
