My name is not mud
though you think that is so.
You do not own my mind
but you will not let go.
You do not own my heart
though you fight hard to crush it.
You do not own my family
though you strive to make us split.
You do not own my soul
man, you're not even close.
But you do own my memory,
and that stings the most.

A doctor who abused me, refused to listen to me, and mistreated me...nearly taking my life.
