prey on the weak and your even weaker
prey on my friends and your history"
- fearless: payback (book 6) by francine pascal

I wonder whether
or not it's true
If it already happened
if I'm already like you

I wonder if I
just over-think
If I over-analyze
if clues I can't link

I've asked you before
but you say it can't be
It's not possible
I'm still only like me

I believe you each time
but after a while
I start to wonder things
of a similar file

I wonder if there's someone
out there
Someone I'll like
someone about whom I'll care

I wonder if there is
someone now
Someone who likes me
in this world, in this town

That's when I realize I have
the wrong questions
There are people I love
called family and friends

And they love me back
my parents and sisters
Though my questions are answered
still I wonder...

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because I was thinking about my friends and how I'm different from all of them. I hope people realize from this that one doesn't need romantic love in life because other types are just as good or better.
