The bright heels glow in the back of the closet,
as if their owner were much too intimidated by them
to keep them in the front.
The points so threatening,
they could bust the bust the balloon
of a child with one swift kick.
The fiery red color ignites,
seducing danger as it burns.
The shoes smirk wickedly
at their owner.
They’re the ones in control.
