Night Sky
Stars fill the night sky
 Above the green grass
 And wandering eyes
 The Moon is a spotlight,
Shining down on the world and me.
 *  *  *  *  *
 The deep blue canvas,
 Spotted with white,
 Fills me with mystery, wonder,
 Passion, and light.
 I stare at them.
 They look back at me.
 Such tiny jewels
 Which fill me with glee.
 My fingers are numb
 From the cold Winter’s air.
 I do not notice,
 I’m without a care.
 I need to lay down,
 And head off to bed,
 But the beautiful painting
 Still stirs in my head.
