the tears slowly stroll
I can't seem to let go
the memories held tightly
this is the pain
I never wanted to show

the broken promise; never kept
now I weep at your step
the promise was made
one week before
you made your escape
and left from the door

the promise was to be strong
to have hope, love and faith
but now that your gone
the hopeless, faithful and love
have just gone to waste

the broken promise; never kept
now I weep at your step
begging for an anwser
to as why He took you away
now I look at myself
as I think of the promise
that just interchanged
