"Wow, That was awkward"

Death
The long sleep
The pain choked end
The slow slide into oblivion
When the time comes,
How will I face it?
Will I beg for life?
Or, will I beg for
Darkness to come faster?

The author's comments:
The other day I learned that my grandmother is slowly dying of Alzheimers and that she could die tomorrow or in six months. No one is sure when because her brain is slowly shutting down. How would you face death? I certainly don't know how I will. This was just me musing on posiblities.

This poem is very relative to death because of the line "The long sleep" because when you r dead u never wake. The way i would face death is to try to stay alive as long as possible. If i had to pick any poem on this website that describe death best i wuold pick this one.
