sleep so deep
dream so small
wake up early
no time to stall

drive these streets
stop by just to say hey
pretend everything's fine
when really nothings OK

a friend lost
a neighbor gone
a lover stolen
locked up with no bond

empty fists
mouth full of words
another beer
swallow your tears

wasted afternoons
run out of gas
forget the good times
they never last

the smiles fade
when the moneys spent
emotions stirred
hearts just bent

tired feet
shaken hands
wanna end this
where i stand

images chase
my sanity away
keep thinking loudly
when im laughing at pain

making no sense
complications in time
finishing this poem
just to hard to rhyme

The author's comments:
this was written when i had just lost a good friend and neighbor and this was one way of coping.

i can so relate somtimes people just dont get that ur not okay and i know how that feels ........it sucks ... anyways i like this alot and i plane to read more of ur wrighting ....actually i have somthing simmulare to this check it out someimte
