Beginning

A child speaks for the first time.
A bell gives out its first chime.
A book turns to the first page.
An employee gets their first wage.
A journey begins with one move.
A man sets out with something to prove.
A key turns in an ancient lock.
A bird starts to lead its flock.
A tale is the greatest read,
But the beginnings are the greatest seed.

The author's comments:
I was thinking that beginnings are everywhere, if only you know how to look for them. And no matter what happens to a beginning, the potential it had never goes away.
