Freedom!
It’s what people want, but don’t get
America!
It’s where it all takes place
Who’s to show that we got what we bet?

America is a living place
Full of wonderful everglades
But there is darkness
Of equality in our faces

Should we be our African men?
Should we spare our truths to Mexico?
With emigration we have expelled
The financial debt of our founding den

If we have freedom
Then why don’t we show it?
In our faces
And in our places
But we don’t

Evidently, we have hated emigrants
For all these years
And tolerated them, but now;
The time is up forgiveness has arrived
Or yet have we even tasted their beers?

Do some people think of us as racial people?
They do not know the truth of America
We have no freedom
No men, no equality
Yet we still are America

Immigrants make up our country
Yet we do not recognize it?
Do we or do we not have freedom?

My inspiration for writing this piece was my concern for the issues of immigration in this country.

NICE! I totally agree that there doesn't always seem to be freedom in America.
