Our Silhouette

Sometimes I sit and contemplate
The wonder of our presence;
Does the rest of the world stop to speculate
The secrets of our essence?

The truth we hold within our souls
Is too much for this world.
So we push onward, knowing deep inside-
The hidden will be unfurled.

How can we join the fate of those
Who are so caught up in their own?
Could we have been misplaced among them?
Were we ever meant to be alone?

We hold our own the best we can,
But here- we don’t belong.
To one another, we commit
To hold our whole life long.

You see, don’t get me wrong,
I’m truly not upset.
I just don’t understand the reason
Behind our silhouette.

Our love is more than beautiful,
It reaches deeper than a thought.
It seeps over every mind and truth,
Leaves scholars overwrought.

Our passion is the expansion of
The Great Pacific Sea,
More exuberant in desire than
The wild cherry tree.

We hold inside the truth of this,
For others don’t understand
That we truly comprehend the fact
That all of this was planned.
