I count backward to the day of my bittersweet agony

Your touch lingers within the deepest chambers of my soul

I see your eyes in my own

I push away the thought away the pain but as the sun shines and the river flows your face will continue to haunt my weary mind

How long must this burning brand be pressed on my heart Engraving your presence forever in my troubled mind

I fear it shall never end that i will have to replay these memories forever more When you left you took with you part of me Until i die my soul will remain in shards

i recently broke up with my girlfriend. when we first broke up i was totally fine and i thought that i was over her. but a week later i found that i was just holding it in. ever since then i think about her every day. She showed me what true love is.
