The serenity of the autumn leaf,
it falls to the ground gently after its short but simple life.
I step on it as i pass not knowing my sin.
As it crumbles at my foot I hear the crunch and I look to my feet.
But there was no crying or blood
no fear or hatred for what I'd done
only a small break in the leaf
that resembled a smile
