twenty four hours to live,
twenty four hours to live,
you hear that tick tocking,
tick tocking,
clock's not stopping
it keeps on
tick tocking.
if you had twenty four hours to live,
would you be where you are
right now
this very second
of this very day
saying exactly what you say
with twenty four hours to live.
would you scream,
or jump, or stand, or cry?
twenty four hours
until you die.
would you say those words
you've left in your heart
left in the dark?
would you kiss your mother?
pet your dog?
bury your still living dreams in the fog?
would you go on a plane
or live life the same
would you whisper secrets
would you juggle bread
bread?
why not? in twenty four hours
you'd be dead.
would you jump off a cliff
into the sea
would you continue your day
in purgatory?
of every second
of every day
woosh, wink
life is blown away
fall off a ladder
or get hit by a bus
you, me, all of us.
if you had twenty four hours
until your life would end
would you bend
every which way
to make that
the most special day?
and if you didn't have those
twenty four hours
what would you do?
but it's not my decision
it's up to you.
but if it was me
I would see
you.

Its the kind of thing i want to put in a place where i can see it everyday as a reminder that no i wouldnt like my parent's most vivid memory of me to be me on facebook constantly.  I like that it's not sentimental or necissarily sad its just asking a really simple (but hard) question and its up to the reader to chose weather or not its sad based on their own life and thats quite a feat... seriously how has no one else commented on this?
