I can’t lie worth two bits.
My friends, they call me a hypocrite.

I don’t know about this life of mine,
I keep searchin but I just can’t find

But I keep on runnin
My friends they keep on prayin
But I don’t think they know what they’re prayin for

Nothin you say will make a difference.
You and I cannot change this world alone

But they keep on prayin
I don’t see anything changing
And I don’t think they know what they have to do
They sit around and pray to their god, “Please help me out I can’t this anymore”

Now I’m trying to find myself
But I can’t see through these shattered pieces of me
I can’t see clearly anymore
I’m searchin for something worth searchin for

I’m trying to see myself clearly
But the lights are out
And there’s nothin I can’t see, except for me.

Can you feel the pressure now?
You’re clawing for something to talk about.
Questions they pester your mind
Other boys and other girls
Street lights, broken windows,
These shattered pieces of me,
These scattered pieces of me.

Now I’m trying to find myself
I’m runnin and searchin but I just can’t find
You and your prayers they’re clouding your mind
You gotta act out, no more standing around
You hate this life, yet you won’t do anything about
These shattered pieces of you.
These shattered pieces of you.

I’m tryin to see myself clearly,
But I can’t see through these shattered pieces of me.

The author's comments:
I was tired of some of my friends discriminating me because I don't believe what they believe in terms of religion.
