"Even castles made of sand drift into the sea, eventually." James Marshall Hendrix

Deep purple skies filled with blue butterflies and screams with no replies
Endless possibilities beyond the horizon, says the wizened old man
Surviving each battle plan; the simple common man
The exclusive, the elusive, the life of the true reclusive
Never to feel a woman’s touch, his one and only crutch
For they expire over the years, a simple waste of tears
I wish for immortality, not realizing the rationality of his mentality
Never to die, for this immortal; there is no good-bye
Sunrise and sunset, a beauty he will never forget
Until the day it lost its spark, and he was left to walk in the dark
Unto the limitless horizon ahead, wishing to stop dead;
To take back all he said, instead left to tread
Through the wish once made, and the answer once conveyed
Until one night he pray, no longer to stay, and this was the day
When for heavens sake, the old man did not awake
For assuming he was alone, he forgot what was once known
That off in the deepest unknown, there is a man and a throne
Flying from above with the whitest wings of a dove
He brought something much more beautiful than any sunset, a reset
All he had to do to receive is simply believe
In the love of the man from above with the wings of a dove
