We Shall Never Forget

I sit shivering in the silent night

Wondering what happened to the others.

"Why wind must you blow them away?"

Blowing away like kites released with hesitation.

I sit thinking,

"Wuh' did I ever do to 'em?"

No one ever answers the question.

They are left fluttering in the night.

Trying to find its way home.

BOOM!

Another one is gone,

Another one left to wonder,

Another weeping without love.

Hate, empty, dead,

Only shown towards the human lives,

The lives that had the same questions.

The ones never answered.

The ones never forgotten.

After reading the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel, I was inspired to write a piece in the point of view of a victim of the Holocaust.
