Don't Look At Me

You think you'd see it.
The way my heart is beating.
The way my hands are trembling.
The way my soul is bleeding.
But I bury it,
Because we're just friends.
I long for
So much more
But I can't let it end.

I tell you everything.
My plans and future hopes.
My biggest dreams and deepest fears.
You know me better than anyone.
But this one secret I hide.
What else can I do
If you can't see
The part of me
That wants to be part of you?

Don't look at me
'Cause I just can't take the pain
I can't look into your eyes and lie again.
