Missing Something

September 11, 2009
By Anonymous

There are many things in my house
There are games
There's a computer
There's a tv
There's a piano
There are books
There's a phone
There's a guitar
There's a writing book
There's a drawing pad
There's a stereo
There is a baketball net outside
There are barbells

But I hate it all
It's all worthless
It's all boring
I can't use any of it
I want the one thing I can't have
And right now
I want you and miss you

I'd give it all away
I'd live in poverty
To be with you

Live your life like toilet paper, long and useful.

it is so sweet and simple. i like how you list so many things that could serve as entertainment, but they just aren't anything compared to the person you want and miss.

How come when you need something the most- that's the time when you have to fight the hardest to receive it?

I've felt the same way before... It's terrible isn't it? Good poem!

An excellent line. I love it, my favorite part of the poem.

We liked your poem but maybe you could shorten the list of objects that you have.
