Nineteen Sixty-Five
Nineteen sixty five,
 standing by
 drawing yellow chalk lines.
raise my hands above my head,
tap my fingers on the road,
 sit cross legged
 and demand a change.
 take a look,
 crumple your history book,
 time to make it new.
 when you stand for something,
 make sure it's believable.
 you shouldn't apologize,
 it shows weakness.
 what say you
 says the man,
 back up now.
 times have changed
 and that's okay.
 don't look back now
 look at your future
and see what it can be,
time to let live and be free.
