Emptiness

What now?
Where do I go from here?
My life as I knew it,
Has suddenly slipped away.
The calm, blue sea
Has unleashed it’s chilling,
Dark fury and taken
My love from me.
I can no longer
Face the water.
At night, I toss
And turn with
Haunting dreams of
Crashing waves and
Blood curdling screams.
I no longer wake up
To a sweet, loving smile
And a warm, good morning kiss.
All I see is an empty space
That no one can replace.
Icy, blue hands have
Placed a sword in my heart,
And I never thought that
Death would do us part.
