Summer Wings

i want to write something sad

something to describe these empty thoughts

passing neuron to neuron

listless information

nothing but wasted transmissions

but there are some thoughts worth being shared

some feelings worth being felt

and they all stem...

well...

they all stem from her...

the girl that makes me smile without being near me

just a thought

a momentary distraction between now

and when she can do it in person

but all those moments add up

they still leave me with butterflies in my stomach

make me smile so big it hurts...

my rainy day wings

the rains gone

but who says she cant come out into the sun?

dry her wings

take a rest from the gloom

breath fresh dry air

soar with out the weather holding her down?

green grass blue skies and pleasant breezes

summer is upon us

i think ill spread my wings with her

all roads are open and skies are clear

new beginings are nigh

lets see where they take us...
