Let Me Fall

I feel chained, chained down.
I want to breathe,
See the light.
I can’t move, I can’t escape.
This is just something I’ve got to do.

Let me go, let me be,
I need to lose it, lose it all.
I’m not afraid,
So bring me up,
And let me fall.

Let me run, let me shout,
Turn me loose, turn me out.
This was something meant to be,
Something built inside of me.

Let me stumble, let me trip,
Watch me crawl, watch me slip.
I can’t feel it,
Nothing at all,
So bring me up,
And let me fall.

Give me the lock, give me the key,
I need to find what I can’t see.
This is it,
One last game,
One last chance to feel the pain.

All I want, all I need,
To find something that will make me bleed.
All I ask, is this of you,
Something blank, something new.
I want to hurt, feel the burn.
I want to ache, taste the gripe.
I’ll get up, be back again,
One more round, it never ends.

Can’t you hear me?
I said what I said.
I know what you’re thinking,
That it’s all in my head.

But I want to be normal,
I want to be me,
But I’m just human,
Can’t you see?

I can’t feel it,
Nothing at all,
So bring me up,
And let me fall.
