Holocaust.

Whatever makes you wake up in the morning.
Will be worth dying for in the end.
One day you will see the pain I’ve endured.
The suffering, and the loss.
My life has done nothing but get worse with almost every breath I take.
Living in this attic.
Feeling alone and scared.
I’ve watched these buildings perish in the fires of hatred.
These lives, left to burn in the flames.
We all were frightened. Frightened for our lives.
This diary, I have left behind. The only friend I have. The only friend that I want.
The smell of dead lingers in the midnight air.
Fires are burning.
People are dying.
To all of our misfortune.
Alone in the dust.
With only their discrimination to blame.
We wake with frightened dreams.
Tossing and turning in our sleep.
Fear. Terror. Horror.
My hopes and pleas do not seem to give in.
Not to the pain. Not to the grief.
We all know who to blame. We all know who caused this war.
The man that would soon demand, a German world.
If I had a penny, for every moment of pain I have felt;
I would have all the money in the world.
