This too shall pass.

I'm no more than sheep's skin on your pale escapade.
Your heart tremors a pitiful beat
while mine fall in two.
I carry a burden
a heartbreak a love lost.

I cant believe in anything I hear or see
I dont want to be this person.
Paint me a picture
and show me why.

Feel my pain
Harvest my sorrow

Open your eyes
and see that im not the only one you hurt
you kill me
you kill me

In you lack of words and passion
You look at me as though we never made love.
Like we never said such tender words I had to hold them softly in my heart.
That we hold each others innocence
like the pine needles of a pine tree.

You act as though we never existed.

The author's comments:
This(obviously) has to do with a love lost, and about how the guy acts as though nothing ever happened. Its the most black and white poem I think I have written, and It's also the most meaningful one I have ever written. It comes from personal experience.

Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than hands?

you say this is the most black-and-white poem you've possibly ever written yet it seeps with colors beyond compare. black is made up of all the colors while white is pure. maybe you've used everything you've ever known to write this poem and this is what it's come to. great job. i love reading you poetry because it sparks my mind and soul. maybe you could read some of my stuff as well and tell me what you think. thank you.
