Do Something

Standing in the rain
Every drop like a needle
Urging me on
Prodding me forward
And they whisper to me
Do something, do something
And I stand there afraid
What if I can’t
What if I wait my whole life
And can’t help
A stick in the mud
No ripples I make
I want to move on
Make waves of change
I don’t want to stand here
Doing nothing at all
I don’t want to stand here
Being nothing at all
I want to work on
Sift through the sand
Change a heart change a life
Save one from their course
I can make the difference
To one life in need
If only I am brave
And am willing to move
Break from society’s chains
I will be the one to break the flow
