for as my life began, my world shall end
twisted fate brought tears but still my soul transends
and with my eyes now so dim and so low
my blinded sight leaves me, and my heavenly eyes unfold

the spectrum grows as the gates shine through the clouds
moving closer to the light, passing by those not aloud
an in the final moments of damned souls floating by
i reach to save but to far are their cries

one step closer am i now to the gates
first to peter then to God hope my soul he will take
even though my lifes been sinful, i've always been true
cause i was brought on the belief that no matter what He'd forgive you

but if i'm not mistaken i have loved with all my soul
trusted blindly in every step even when my faith wasn't whole
so as my end is now, and my beggining is end
