Tonight
This night
Means the world to me,
Though I know it means nothing to you.

Tonight
This night
I will remember
For the rest of my life,
Though I know you will forget it in a week.
Maybe less.
Maybe simply as soon as you see HER.
But I wish you saw me.

Tonight
This night
I will spend hours getting ready,
Trying to look pretty for you,
Like I do every day.

Tonight...
You won't even notice.

This is beautifuly constructed, and is very close to what I have felt, if not it. This is magnificent. Great job on all of your work.

Wow. I love this, and yes I do know how invisible feels. I love this poem because it connected to me so much that I felt like I could have written it. I've noticed that about several of your poems. You have such an incredible talent for reaching into the depths of human emotion and extracting a feeling and refining it into a poem. I also really like your style. Really, really good job. If you'd like to take a look at any of my work, I'd really appreciate any feed back.
