Black Evening

I wake up this Black Evening with a cavern in my heart,

A crater in the picture on the wall,

A daring dead man death staring at me,

Through my eyes,

Through my soul,

Through my heart,

I fall asleep cold as he does now too,

Falling back into bad habits,

Falling back down,

Falling,

The rivers start to flow,

The dams are broken,

Holding these tears nevermore,

Looking like a lost puppy picking a perished bone,

As I cling to lost memories I don't have anymore,

I continue to fall,

Forever falling following my father's footsteps,

I can never stand to his spirit,

I lost who he was,

I keep losing people,

I keep losing things,

I keep losing,

Seniors sacrifice their school seconds to spend them with me,

But why?

I am an inconsequential character in this journey we call existence,

So why?

I am so perplexed through this rollercoaster of life,

Up, down, up, down, down… down,

I battle with this thing we call fate or God,

As it’s cruel at the moment.

I am no One,

Yet Too scared to cry,

Three kinds of people leaving me,

And For what purpose?

High Five for the last time,

As we never know when it’s goodbye,

And may we lay in the palms of this future,

This destiny,

You may call it God's plan,

You may call it fate,

No matter what your memory murmurs in your mind,

This is life,

We are going through it together,

And that’s final,

As one day our existence will be too.
