Noble and brave you’ve fought battles

Slain dragons and gods alike and even 

When faced with unimaginable horrors 

You never gave up.

You are a tree standing tall in a turbulent windstorm.

You are the light that shines at the end of a hard day.

As my fingers dance from button to button.

The smell of popcorn 

Pops in my nose. 

You alone, console, 

Can make me feel rage one second and joy another. 

Oh video games you are 

Like a sweet aftertaste to something bitter. 

Your glistening screen 

Sparkles like the moon in the midnight sky. 

My heart swells with glee,
