they limp to the woods.

they escape from the present.

they burn themselves to their demise.

yet my broken heart is special.

she's been dropped

countless times,

until she isn’t fragile anymore.

but,

she never leaves.

she clings to

my organs, desperate

for a second chance.

she locks herself in a

safe with thousands of keys.

she stays within me,

even though she smells like a surgery.

even though she is the opposite of congenial.

even though she may be plagued with maladies.

she just glues herself back together.

and accepts

her destined future.

she could just stop.

I wish she stop.

but she is still here.
