You are somewhere in a forest

With your friends who love life and hate people

It is 2 PM so the sun tastes like

Salad and a flower I can imagine the smell of

But not name because I don’t go outside

Lavender or rose or

Maybe I’m imagining your hair

Anyway you’re in the forest

With your Polaroid camera

Dressed like you’re going out tonight

But you’re not, you get tired at 8

This is the whole day, you’re in the forest

You say something in French

And no one gets it but

Someone says “I love you, you know that?”

Yesterday your tarot cards were all upright

I don’t know what they said because

Cards tell you what you want to hear

And I never knew what you wanted

But I know you’re happy and I know

Your revenge fantasies are less frequent

Because your friends are here

And you’re in the forest

I didn’t want you to know

I told him not to tell you

But when you love life and hate people

People tend to hate you back

He never considered

You’re in the forest at 2 PM the sun tastes like salad you’re dressed nice taking Polaroids speaking French thinking about tarot and your friends

He never considered that

Your joy is radical

Our joy is stifling
