Scatterbrain
Lists, lists, endless piles of lists
Lengthily lining tallies of tasks
All linked, looped, and jumbled
Laughably lost amidst all the luggage
My brain sluggishly lugs
Through long lanes of thought
Oops! Your bag cannot be found,
Have this voucher for free parking
Hope you remembered to bring your keys!
Locking loose little knowledge
Clanging the cage closed
Lest they be liberated
By my own lack of liability
My lie ability has certainly grown
Slipping a slew of half truths
To skip the blame
But the guilt still floods
Like liquid into spasming lungs
And I could go on and on and on but you’d lose the meaning until I just out and said:
I hate
My brain.
