her father was the first man to disappoint her
she went from a spoiled daddy’s girl
to a girl who didn’t claim her father
he was the first to show her that love would hurt
and that men lie and disappoint you
so when her first boyfriend came around
she accepted the half love, pain, and disappointment from him
because that was all she had ever received
from the man who claimed to love her
she always felt the need to beg men to love her correctly and to be kind to her
because that’s what she felt she had to do with her father
