Oh no...

It was sudden,

like an explosion in the distance.

A glissando of metal abruptly emerged from the basement,

I raced to down the creaky old stairs,

Dmm! Dmm! Dmm!

Footsteps loud enough to wake the neighbors from their slumber-

then splash…

Before I knew it, I was trapped in pitch dark, the haunting metallic noise had ceased, and I had foot-fulls of beans.

That is, a whole pool of beans had engulfed my feet.

For moments-

I tried to catch my breath.

Loud explosion? A deathly industrial sound? An ambiguous collection of sloppy beans.

Until some music came on, a very faint and quiet tune.

Mystery filled the basement I once knew into a circus of which I had no clue.

It was some weird folk music, but Michael Jackson was singing it.

Throughout the song was a typewriter in the background of the music.

It was annoying and a stupid addition.

This is kind of wack.

I really wanted to create a fast shift from scary to goofy and absurd.
