BR>Running through the list, one last time:
Dad’s trusty flashlight - check.
As tiny as it is, we have no doubt that it will light the way.
Speckled composition notebook - check.
Hardly any paper left, but we’ll manage.
Black plastic binoculars - check.
Our own eyes can see farther, but what’s ypsing without them?
Yellow rubber gloves, two pair - check, check.
You never know.
Mom’s Maybelline powder compact - check.
Surely we’ll need fingerprints to capture the culprit!

Fully equipped and prepared,
the two of us sneak through the woods,
truly devoted to our mission.
Sure, the neighbors seem harmless enough
but as all professional six-year-old spies know,
everyone has their secrets.

Harriet would be proud.
