Nature is something we all take for granted

Like the leaves as we walk by

For it is easier to step on them

Than to clear a path

It is easier to take one picture

Than to take a few more

We focus on the ground to not trip

Than to look up

To discover the trees

To discover the leaves

The ones still hanging

The ones that have fallen

We like to keep walking as fast as we can

Than to stop and to breath in the fresh air

To stop and look at the mother deer

We walk and walk to meet our goal

But the goal is to get right back to where we started

Rather than to discover a new path

Only when we are told to stop we do

Only when we are pushed down

Only when we trip and fall

Do we have to stop and are forced to see the beauty

That way we will not be frightned by the tree root

That way we will appreciate the fallen leaves

For the fallen leaves are the ones who made you trip

The fallen leaves are the ones who have lost their place on a tree

Only to be stepped on and mashed into the ground

So don't blame them when they teach you a lesson

Mother nature doesn't like to be taken for granted

And the fallen leaves although they are faded

Will have never lost their beauty

Have you ever stopped and looked at the leaves? Have you ever decided to just walk without an end location in mind? To not just walk but to think... how beautiful is nature.
