The Show
Around and around we go
Stuck as some sick form of entertainment in this hellish show
Called life.
People watch and clap and cheer for the empty corps on the stage to hear
Its ears still work and eyes do to
But it's hart is mangled as if its been
ripped through
It stands and smiles and gives a wave
Only one foot away from falling to its grave
But hey thats ok its something all kids go through
The limelight is killing me just as much as it's killing you
So let's just dance and play our part
Pretend that we still have a beating heart
As the people in the audience call our suffering art.
Because that's what it is, isn't it?
Some made up gimmick, a humorous bit?
Nothing serious to this stupid hellish show
So they let their cheers and laughter grow
As we stand on stage and play our part
Becoming masters in this deadly
art
