the truth
November 24, 2019
roses aren’t always red
violets aren’t always blue
society lies
truth dies
after all, truth lies in the eyes
of its beholder

i don’t think you understand what we are going through. you blame depression on phones and suicide on bullying, but what you don’t realize is that you, the society that surrounds us are the villains, the poison, in our lives. children, us, are expected to get perfect grades and still manage to fit the societal pressure of beauty standards that you have mercilessly tossed into our lives too. we are taught by the world, yet are being torn apart by the generation before us as we are trying to help, but you push us away. you are supposed to be the adults but when you don’t even know what’s going on around you, all hope is lost. we are being raised by animals who will teach us to do the same thing you are. and that is how our world is someday going to perish, all because you weren’t good enough.
