Glass
A transparent glass,
Crystal clear.
You can see right through it
Everything on the other side
Every chip and crack
It’s all there
A transparent glass,
Tinted brown.
A little harder to see though
Everything on the other side
Every chip and crack
It’s a little hidden
A deep coffee mug,
Painted black.
You can see nothing
Everything on the other side
Every chip and crack
It’s impossible to see
All will break eventually…
All can be put back together…
The glass will shatter
The glass will always look shattered
Even if it’s only been shattered once
The coffee mug,
Appears the least broken.
But,
It’s been shattered the most.
