Sounds of screams
Consume my conscious
Assuming the uncertainty
Avoiding the unknown
Never straying far
Too afraid to say goodbye
Alone but not truly
The dark creeps in costume
Soon snow shall fall
But it is the uncertainty
That draws me in
Unsure of who will stay
New and old join forces
Forced to reinvent
To try and smile
Too afraid of change
