The Stallion

We all hear
About the brave knight
The fair maiden
The ferocious dragon
The king on his throne
The story uniting them all
Yet nobody talks about the stallion
Carrying the knight
But did she have a choice?
Nobody talks about the stallion
Spending her days running
At full speed
Towards a meaningless direction
Nobody talks about the stallion
Starved throughout the quest
A sacrifice for a cause unknown
And what cause is that?
Nobody talks about the stallion
Forced to embark on a quest
For another
Nobody talks about the stallion
Bruised and bloodied
From the oh so fair knight
Nobody talks about the stallion
We don’t talk about the stallion
Why don’t we talk about the stallion

I just kind of noticeed that we as a society always delve into a deeper meaning about the knight or the maiden, yet we forget about the stallion.
