Swimming Away
I'm afraid of sharks
I try to wade into the water
without worrying I'll fade
into the blue
I'm afraid of sharks and being abandoned,
what if my friends decide to upgrade?
I'll reach for their hand and
they'll ignore me as I fade
oceans always seem so lonely,
as I swim salt water keeps trying
to blind me, only
I don't know which one of us is crying
I bleed shark bait
and rhymes left unsaid
I swim almost as fast as my heartbeat
but the water still turns red
